Welcome to PMBT workshop Aarhus 2027!

We are excited to invite you to the 5th International Particle Minibeam Radiotherapy (PMBT) Workshop, taking place in Aarhus, Denmark, from 6 to 8 April 2027. The workshop is organised by the PMBT group, with local organisation by Aarhus University and the Danish Centre for Particle Therapy (DCPT).

Particle Minibeam Radiotherapy
Particle minibeam radiotherapy is an approach based on the spatial fractionation of a particle beam into narrow, sub-millimetre “minibeams” separated by small gaps. The aim is to reduce damage to healthy tissue while maintaining tumour control. Promising preclinical results have generated growing interest in the potential of PMBT for future radiotherapy.

The Workshop
Following the 2026 PMBT Workshop in Pisa, the Aarhus meeting will bring together researchers from physics, radiobiology, clinical medicine and engineering to share recent results in particle minibeam radiotherapy. The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss advances in minibeam production, dosimetry, radiobiology and modelling, as well as the challenges and opportunities on the path towards clinical application. The programme will include scientific presentations, poster sessions and opportunities for discussion and exchange.

More information coming soon
Further details about the venue, abstract submission, registration and the scientific programme will follow.

On behalf of the local organising committee, we look forward to welcoming the PMBT community to Aarhus in April 2027.
